Andrea Alborno Biography
Andrea Alborno was born in 1962 in the Aosta Valley, Italy.
He learned photography from his father who was a doctor but also a passionate photographer.
He acquired his first camera from his father at the age of eighteen and began immediately to develop his skills in black and white printing.
Since turning professional in 1996, Alborno has become both a photographer and journalist. Professionally, he is mainly interested in exploring cultural and social themes, but has also produced travel and tourism work.
His work has been published in many Italian and International publications including Gente Viaggi, Itinerari e Luoghi, Gulliver, Meridiani, Airone, Panorama Travel, D La Repubblica delle Donne, Animan and the magazines Figaro, Geo and Escape, Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic Traveler.
Alborno is also a contributing photographer to "Millennium" a photography book published in 2000 in which six of his images are featured amongst the century's best mountain photos.
